Emmanuel Adebayor feels former team-mate Cesc Fabregas would be an ideal signing for Real Madrid.
The Togolese striker is currently on loan at the Spanish giants from Manchester City.
That deal will keep him at Santiago Bernabeu until the end of the season, when Real will have the option to make the move permanent.
Adebayor is hoping his association with the club will be extended, but has also given his take on other possible summer arrivals.
Speculation has suggested that Arsenal skipper Fabregas, a long-standing target for Barcelona, could figure on Real's radar.
Having played with the World Cup winner during his time with the Gunners, Adebayor is well aware of what Fabregas has to offer.
He believes the Spain international would be a hit in Madrid and can understand why Real are already being linked with a big-money approach.
"I had the chance to play with Cesc for some years and I would love to have him here as a team-mate," Adebayor said.
"He is a great player and a great person. If he came to Real Madrid he would be very happy. He would be a great acquisition for the team."
