World Cup star Yerry Mina has put his Barcelona future in doubt after revealing his desire to play for a team where there is 'less pressure'.

The centre-back starred for Colombia in Russia, scoring three goals including a last-minute equaliser against England in their last-16 exit, and now wants to secure first-team minutes.

Everton have been strongly linked with a £21million move for the 23-year-old, as they look to replace ageing defenders Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams.

Mina told reporters: 'I want to play for a team where there is less pressure and where I can have minutes.

'I will always try to do my best for me, for my club and I hope that wherever I end up, whether it is at Barcelona or whether I have to leave, I will do it in the best way.'

After arriving at the Nou Camp for £10m from Palmeiras in January, Mina made just five La Liga appearances for Barcelona.

He has found himself behind Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen in the pecking order, and with Frenchman Clement Lenglet arriving from Sevilla, it is unlikely he will feature in Ernesto Valverde's plans this year.

Manchester United have cooled their interest in Leicester defender Harry Maguire and turned their attentions to Barcelona's Yerry Mina, Sky Sports News understands.

Sky Sports News reported last week that United had made an approach to sign Mauire, who they value at £65m, but Leicester are adamant the central defender will not be sold.

It now looks like Maguire will stay at King Power Stadium, and Sky Sports News expects Leicester to open talks over an improved contract in the coming weeks.

It is though United could seal the deal for Mina from Barcelona for as little as £30m, just seven months after they signed him from Brazilian club Palmeiras for £10m

Mina but has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp after struggling for a place in Ernesto Valverde's starting XI appearing just four times in La Liga.

He was more successful at the World Cup this summer, where he scored three goals in as many games for Colombia - including the last minute equaliser against England in the last 16.

Wolves and Everton, who have already bought Mina's former Barcelona team-mate Lucas Digne, are also interested in signing the centre-half, according to Sky sources.

唔知啲例既詳文，不過以我個人理解，雖然球會唔可以直接approach球員，但佢地有經理人，就算當同經理人傾都係屬於同球員傾，都仲可以搵中間人，但無咩可能禁止接觸經理人，始終一個經理人處理好多球員，同埋好多唔同範疇既野

所以原則上你當球會之間deal好，球員先可以簽新合約可能會合理啲

Everton remain in contact with Barcelona over a deal to sign Colombia defender Yerry Mina, Sky Sports News understands.

The Goodison Park club are keen to add to their defensive stocks and have targeted the 23-year-old, who put in a series of excellent performances for his country at the World Cup in Russia.

Mina only played six times for Barcelona in his first season in Europe, having joined the Spanish giants from Brazilian club Palmeiras last summer.

Reports in Spain have claimed a deal is already in place between the two clubs with Everton paying just over £28m for Mina.

Mina scored three goals in the World Cup, including the late equaliser that sent their last-16 tie with England to extra-time.

Sky Sports News previously reported Manchester United's interest in Mina as they look for a new centre-back, but they are understood to be planning an offer for Leicester's Harry Maguire.

Everton have already signed one Barcelona defender this summer, and the clubs are understood to have a fantastic relationship after the deal which brought Lucas Digne to Merseyside.

Marco Silva is looking for additional centre-back competition after losing Ramiro Funes Mori last month and sending Ashley Williams to Stoke on a season-long loan last week.
