Simon Davies has set his sights on ending his playing career with Fulham after agreeing a new three-year contract.
The 30-year-old midfielder became an important player under former boss Roy Hodgson and it appears that new manager and fellow Welshman Mark Hughes values the playmaker equally highly.
Davies, who retired from international football earlier in August, is therefore pleased to have committed himself to Fulham until 2013 and he hopes that he does not join another club before hanging up his boots.
"It's great now that it's finally done," he told his club's official website.
"We've been talking for a few months. I've loved my time here and it's been great the last few years.
"I'm just excited for the future and hopefully I'll finish my career here."
Davies most recently scored the pivotal goal in Fulham's comeback victory over Hamburg in last season's Europa League semi-final at Craven Cottage.
He also netted the equaliser in the 2-1 final defeat against Atletico Madrid.
