[意見]建議開英文區 for any topic [復制鏈接]

When I first joined BFF, I was posting only in English and I only got a few responses to my posts. It was only after I bought a writing pad and started writing in Chinese that people started taking notice of me. So, in my humble opinion, it is a very good suggestion and it can really help a lot of members polish up on their English but unfortunately, it won't work.

we need some qualified english tutors who can share their views and correcting people's grammatical errors and educate members on the importance of mastering good english command.

by the way,members who willing to learn english and upgrade their english proficiency need to accept some constructive comments and advices from tutors in a humble way for the sake of their own good.

Or else such two ways communcation will bound to be failed very soon.

yes,although you typed english and want to ask for help but people would still use chinese to reply you and it shows that people are not willing to type english

I think the basic gramma can be correct by many members,
This zone is not mainly to correct someone mistake,
What I want to focus is to
(i) use more english and reduce the basic mistake
(ii) during discussion, we can learn more vocab
(iii) and fun~ (with interesting or hot topic/reading/website in English)

People usually shy to convey their ideas in english and we need more encouragement from members,and together we strive on and achieve a better standard.How to overcome the fear and shyness?I leave the question to all ^^

My point is it's very difficult to get active participation from members. In Hong Kong, most people are still reluctant to use English. Since going to forums are considered as something of a leisurely activity to relax, it's nearly impossible for them to consider using English.

Anyway, I think your suggestion is still a very good one.

how bout getting some polls to collect major response from BFF members? ^^

If we have sufficient amount of members who are willing to take part,then i think ballballfull may just have contributed a very good idea which might benefit those who willing to participate.

But if the responses are dissaponting,then we might just give up the idea. ^^

This can only suggest,... but can't take any action ...

friendly match doesn't mean much for this season. Because some of them haven't play for a while, they try to tune-up in friendly match~

I think that it is a great idea to open an "only english chatroom" , but unfotunately, it will be very difficult to maintain it's popularity and etc.....

I agree that using english to chat in BFF is a great way to improve on our typing skills and typing speed. However, I don't think 好友們 can really improve our English unless there's a 好友 with very good English skill to guide and teach us English. (without paying any tutition fees as well...   ) In many English forums, people use all kind of slangs to chat with each others.   So, I beleive it would be better to open an "only English chatroom" for a specific topic, such as to learn grammar or to write better. Just opening an "only English chatroom" with no particular topic won't help our English in the long run

just my 2 cents
