Gilbert Arenas to CBA

After failing to get a training camp invite, Gilbert Arenas will be taking his talents to Guangdong China.  According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, “Free agent guard Gilbert Arenas is close to signing a one-year deal in China with the Guandong Southern Tigers, a source told Yahoo! Sports.”

Arenas played in 17 regular season games last year for the Memphis Grizzlies, but rarely saw the court during playoff time.

Arenas will now join the likes of Tracy McGrady and Stephon Marbury in China, but if he plays his cards right, he could end up with a ticket back into the NBA by playoff time since the CBA’s season is over by the end of April.
