Palacios suffers shin injury

Wilson Palacios could miss the World Cup finals after being taken to hospital after suffering an injury during Honduras' 3-0 defeat to Romania on Saturday.

Palacios was taken for a scan after being stretchered off in the 67th minute of the game.

National team doctor Raul Perez was unwilling to make any early prognosis directly after the game but the loss of Palacios, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, would be a crushing blow to a side which is woefully out of form going into the finals.
