Sevilla re-sign Jesus Navas after midfielder's release from Manchester City Navas has moved back to the club where he made his name after four years in the Premier League
Sevilla have re-signed midfielder and free agent Jesus Navas. The 31-year-old left the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in 2013 to join Manchester City for £14.9million on a four-year deal.Navas picked up a Premier League title and two League Cups during his time in England but failed to impress on a personal level and was not offered an extension when his contract expired at the end of June. Sevilla, who lost both Yevhen Konoplyanka and Samir Nasri at the end of last season, have jumped at the opportunity to bring Navas back to the club.
Navas, who has 35 caps for Spain, first joined Sevilla as a youth player in 2000 before working his way up through the ranks.
Right-winger Navas becomes Sevilla's eighth signing of the summer.
Former Manchester City forward Nolito has joined the club after one ill-fated season in England while Simon Kjaer, Luis Muriel, Ever Banega, Guido Pizarro and Sebastien Corchia have also arrived.
