Neymar has revealed Philippe Coutinho is living in “great sadness” at the moment amid links with Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are keen to add Coutinho to their ranks but Liverpool have rebuffed all of their offers.

Speaking after Coutinho scored for Brazil last night, Neymar said: "I'm very happy that he scored a goal because at this moment he lives a very great sadness.

"He helped us to the victory. He's a great player and did very well when he came on."

1. Barcelona claim around 10pm Spanish time there was a call in which Liverpool said "we will start talking from ?200m" for Coutinho.

2. At that point Barcelona say they decided to abandon the pursuit of Coutinho. They adamant the figure was mentioned by Liverpool in a call

3. Liverpool do not want to answer those claims as nobody is willing to say who made the call or to whom the call was made

4. All along Liverpool have been insisting there was no negotiations as they were not selling, and they did not put a price for Coutinho

5. At this point it is up to you who you want to believe
