Question Mark Over Spurs Game Posted on: Sun 18 Mar 2012
TONY PULIS is planning to contact Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp to gauge the likelihood of Wednesday evening's Barclays Premier League visit to White Hart Lane going ahead in the current circumstances.
Pulis' side are scheduled to face Spurs in the rearranged Premier League fixture, but this must be in some doubt following the unfortunate events this weekend which led to the FA Cup quarter final in north London being abandoned.
Tottenham players and management were understandably left in a state of shock after Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
"I will be speaking to Harry to see how things are," said Pulis. "Obviously, many people at White Hart Lane have been deeply affected by what has happened and we would understand if it was their wish to have the game moved to a new date.
"This is a tragedy in a lot of respects and we are all just hoping and praying that the kid pulls through. Everyone at this Football Club - players, management, directors, staff and supporters - wish him and his family all the best."
He added: "Our players, particularly one or two who knew Fabrice well, were very upset when the news broke on Saturday evening."
