Tottenham to sign Juan Foyth on Monday as Kevin Wimmer heads to Stoke City in £15million move

• Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete their third summer signing on Monday
• Nineteen-year-old centre back Juan Foyth is poised to join the London club
• Spurs have already signed Davinson Sanchez and Paulo Gazzaniga this month
• As Foyth arrives, fellow defender Kevin Wimmer will leave for Stoke City
• Spurs and Stoke have agreed a £15million transfer fee for 24-year-old Wimmer

Tottenham Hotspur are signing Juan Foyth from Estudiantes on Monday after allowing defender Kevin Wimmer to join Stoke City for £15million.
Austrian Wimmer will arrive at the bet 365 Stadium where Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross is expected to see out the last year of his contract.
Teenage centre back Foyth, 19, has been capped at Under 20 level by Argentina, but is unlikely to play regularly for Spurs this season.
Tottenham also have a deal in place to sign Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain, pending Home Office clearance.
However, Spurs appear to have lost the race to sign midfielder Pape Cheikh Diop from Celta Vigo.
Spurs had offered almost £9m, but they have been outbid by Lyon and Diop is due to have a medical in France this week.
Tottenham's need for new recruits was highlighted by Sunday's 1-1 draw with Burnley.
A stoppage-time equaliser from Chris Wood cancelled out Dele Alli's scrappy opener as Spurs failed to win at Wembley yet again.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have now dropped five points in two home Premier League matches this season.
They dropped just four in 19 games at White Hart Lane last term.

Tottenham set to sign Juan Foyth after agreeing deal with Estudiantes

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Estudiantes for Argentina U20 defender Juan Foyth, Sky Sports News understands.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been targeting Foyth for much of the summer although, for a while, it appeared the move was dead because of the Argentinian side's valuation of the player.

Pochettino decided to withdraw from talks after Estudiantes chief Juan Sebastian Veron - who played with Pochettino for Argentina - demanded more money for the 19-year-old.

Foyth is rated one of the most talented young defenders in world football and Spurs' move for him had also been complicated by interest from big-spending Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

But it would appear the ball-playing defender has instead chosen to come to the Premier League after speaking with Pochettino - he would become their second summer signing after Ajax's Davinson Sanchez.

Speaking to Argentinian newspaper El Dia, Foyth is quoted as saying: "It's a club that bets on the young and I think I'm going to have a chance to play.

"I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said. It was what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.

"He told me to go, train and that I would be involved I would play. He also told me what the club was like, what job idea it had."

SIMON JONES: Tottenham have signed Argentina U20 international Juan Foyth from Estudiantes in a £8million deal.
The 6ft 3ins central defender can also play in midfield and chose Tottenham ahead of Paris St Germain after holding talks with compatriot Mauricio Pochettino.
Talking to El Dia earlier this week, Foyth said: 'It’s a club that bets on the young and I think I’m going to have a chance to play. I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said. It’s what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.

Tottenham’s recent Champions League draw also excited Foyth: 'It’s a beautiful. Those teams are very nice to play, but at first, I think about being able to settle there fast and catch up.'
Foyth was recently called in for a meeting by Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli and added: 'The greatest dream of every footballer is to play in the Argentine national team. But I don’t want to think about that now, but to settle at Tottenham.'
