You might not have believed this 48 hours ago but Pedro could complete his move from Barcelona to Chelsea today, after Manchester United pulled out of a potential deal. Chelsea have agreed to pay an initial fee of £19.7m plus another £1.4m in add-ons.

Pedro is in London and should complete the move after passing a medical. We’ll bring you more when we have it.

'FABREGAS KEY'

A phone call with Cesc Fabregas was key to Pedro's decision to move to Chelsea, according to reports in The Guardian.

The paper report that the Barcelona forward phoned both Jose Mourinho and Fabregas as he was pondering where to go, later making the decision to snub Manchester United and instead move to Stamford Bridge.

Sky sources say the Spain international is in London today for a medical ahead of a deal worth around £21million. We will, of course, bring you the latest news as we get it. Stay tuned.

PEDRO MISSES TRAINING

It seems as though Pedro's move to Chelsea is edging closer after he missed training with Barcelona today.

The Premier League champions are expected to complete a deal for the Spain forward after Manchester United withdrew their interest.

"Pedro Rodriguez was given special permission by the club to miss training in order to concentrate on matters concerning his future," read a story on Barcelona's official website ahead of their La Liga opener with Athletic Bilbao.
