Ronald Koeman hopes for "good news" in his pursuit of Gylfi Sigurdsson when he speaks to the Everton board tomorrow.
In the build-up to tonight's Europa League tie with Ruzomberok , the Blues boss said he was optimistic that a deal could be struck with Swansea City for the Iceland international.
And following Everton's 1-0 win in Slovakia - handing them a 2-0 win on aggregate - Koeman said there was nothing new to report but said he hoping to learn that negotiations have advanced when he checks tomorrow.
"I don't have an update today, because I did not speak to anybody," Koeman said.
"I was fully focused and concentrated on the game tonight and maybe we get some good news tomorrow."
