Madrid free to hire Ancelotti after PSG agree terms with Blanc
According to Bein Sport, negotiations between Blanc's agent and the PSG sporting director Leonardo were successful and he will be confirmed as new coach shortly Television channel Bein Sport has reported that former France coach Laurent Blanc has reached an agreement with Paris-Saint Germain to take over at the club, meaning Real Madrid will be free to hire Carlo Ancelotti. Blanc is set to be officially confirmed as the new PSG boss shortly after negotiations between sporting director Leonardo and the coach’s agent Jean—Pierre Bernés went smoothly.
He will reportedly sign a two-year contract , although the general opinión is that the PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi only wanted to offer him a one-year deal because it had been agreed that Arsene Wenger would take over at the club in 2014 after leaving Arsenal.
With the deal closed, Madrid are expected to announce the choice of their new coach in the next few hours.
Before agreeing a deal with Blanc, PSG had to deal with negative responses from a long list of coaches, including Rafa Benítez, Guus Hiddink, Michael Laudrup, Roberto Mancini, Andre Villas-Boas, Fabio Capello and Frank Rijkaard.
