Hal Robson-Kanu's potential move to Hull City has been put on hold following the departure of Tigers boss Steve Bruce.Bruce wanted to bring the Wales international to the KC Stadium this summer but resigned on Friday after becoming frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at the club.
Robson-Kanu, who is without a club after leaving Championship Reading at the end of last season, is now expected to explore all his options and will take his time before making a decision on his future.
"Steve Bruce is a fantastic manager and it is always nice to be wanted by a manager like him," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
The 27-year-old scored twice for Wales at Euro 2016, including a stunning strike in the 3-1 quarter-final victory over Belgium.
He came through the youth ranks at Reading and made his competitive debut for the club in 2009 under the management of Brendan Rodgers.
Robson-Kanu played a leading role in the Royals' promotion winning campaign to the Premier League in 2012 and went on to score seven goals during his one and only season in the top-flight to date.
Overall, he made 228 appearances for Reading, scoring 30 times during his 12 years with the club.
