Georgios Samaras has Sampdoria medical



Former Celtic and Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras is currently undergoing his medical at Sampdoria.

The Greek international is a free agent after leaving West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season, having spent the latter half of the campaign at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is carrying a picture of Samaras arriving at Villa Stuart for his Blucerchiati medical, with the forward ready to sign assuming no problems are flagged up.

The website believes the 30-year-old will sign a deal worth around ?750,000 per season with the Marassi side.
