Arsenal are poised to sign Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Matt Macey




Sky Sports understands Arsenal have won the race to sign highly-rated Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Matt Macey.
Bristol Rovers confirmed last month they were in talks with Arsenal and Everton over a possible deal for Macey.
A host of Premier League clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in Macey with Rovers resigned to losing their young prospect.

The 18-year-old impressed on trial at Arsenal in September and Arsene Wenger is now set to offer Macey a move to the Emirates.
Wenger sees Macey as one for the future with the Frenchman looking to bolster his goalkeeping options.

Macey is expected to sign a three-year deal at Arsenal with Rovers due a compensation fee for his services.

Matt Macey is a goalkeeper who is a product of the Rovers youth system, having joined the Centre of Excellence in September 2009.
He was signed as a full-time scholar in May 2011, and less than a year later he was included on the bench for the senior side for the first time,
when he was an unused substitute in a 2–2 draw with Torquay United on 10 March 2012.
