Tottenham in talks over £8m swoop for Blackpool’s Tom Ince Tottenham are in talks with Blackpool over an £8million swoop for winger Tom Ince. The England Under-21 international turned down a move to Cardiff in pre-season because he wanted to stay in the north-west with this family.
However, Spurs are hopeful of completing a deal which could see the 21-year-old loaned back to the Tangerines for the season.
The north Londoners have already spent £107million on seven players – Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Christian Eriksen, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches
and Nacer Chadli – safe in the knowledge that Gareth Bale’s switch to Real Madrid will be completed for the end of the transfer window.
Ince, considered one of the brightest prospects in the Championship, came off the bench to net a stunning winner yesterday as Blackpool beat Watford 1-0.
Speaking after the game, his manager father Tom said: ‘The kid is a special player.
‘He’s got a long way to go but he’s a grounded lad, he likes it at Blackpool and I don’t want him to go to another club and sit on the bench as he loves to play football.’
