Palermo confirm Arsenal-Viviano deal

Palermo have confirmed Italian international Emiliano Viviano will end the day as an Arsenal player.
The goalkeeper, who spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, has been linked with the London club over the last few weeks.
“Stefano Sorrentino and Samir Ujkani will be our goalkeepers this season,” President Maurizio Zamparini told Stadio News 24.
“We haven’t received any offers for them, whereas Viviano will go to Arsenal.”
Viviano, who had his problems with form at Fiorentina last term, has already undergone his medical at Arsenal.
It is understood the 27-year-old will join the English club on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Showed considerable promise as a youngster at Brescia, James, and at Bologna too, enough for him to persuade Italy coach Cesare Prandelli to use either him or Sirigu, while Buffon recovered from injury after the 2010 World Cup. However, since getting hurt himself at Inter, where he was being groomed to replace Cesar, he hasn't been the same. Will push Szczesny though
