Striker to rejoin team-mates tomorrow after compassionate leave




ALBION can confirm that Nicolas Anelka will resume first-team training tomorrow and be available for selection for Sunday’s game against Swansea.
The striker was excused from club duty for the fixtures against Everton and Newport on compassionate grounds and, having met with head coach Steve Clarke today,
he will rejoin his team-mates tomorrow.

Anelka only joined the club over the summer from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and impressed during pre-season.

But he looked laboured in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Southampton and has decided to call time on his career.

WEST Bromwich Albion can confirm that Nicolas Anelka will not be involved in Saturday’s game at Everton.

The club have excused the striker from club duty on compassionate grounds.
