Arsenal could offer a surprise £10million for this 25-year-old Premier League goalkeeper as he seeks to find a rival for his current number 1 Szczesny.
Newcastle United player Tim Krul could become the next Toons player to be targeted. The Dutchman was linked with AC Milan earlier this summer is now on Arsene Wenger’s goalkeeping target list. Just as with his efforts in trying to recruit Cabaye, Wenger will also be encountering some opposition from Newcastle.
Arsene Wenger is also likely to go back to Valencia with an increased bid for keeper Vicente Guaita. The Gunners put in a bid earlier this week of around £4million. Valencia responded by pointing to Guaita’s £25million release clause.
Valencia are strapped for cash with over 200million euro worth of debts and no Champions League football this season. They may be digging in their heels but Guaita wants to leave after being told by new coach Miroslav Dukic that he will be getting less playing time under his squad rotation policy this season. Arsenal negotiator Richard Laws is in Spain to try and get the price down.
