Reports in France are suggesting that Manchester City could move forParis Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a bid to replace CarlosTevez and Mario Balotelli.
L’Equipe havereported that manager Manuel Pellegrini could make a move for the Swedishinternational as he considers his options up front, saying the club are "already very interested" in the forward.
Sergio Aguero, Eden Dzeko and John Guidetti remain at theclub after Tevez moved on to Serie A champions Juventus, but it is widelyexpected that the former Malaga manager will add another striker to his squad.
Cith have been linked with both Stevan Jovetic and AlvaroNegredo over the last couple of days after they appear to have missed outEdinson Cavani, but the Uruguayan could be the reason that sees ‘Ibra’ move tothe Etihad.
PSG are believed to be very close to securing Cavani, withthe same French paper reporting that the deal could be confirmed as early asTuesday. Should the Napoli striker make the move to Paris, it is unlikely thatIbrahimovic would play second fiddle to Cavani.
This could trigger Pellegrini to submit a bid for the formerInter Milan, Barcelona, Ac Milan and Juventus star, who also appeared for Malmoand Ajax early in his career.
It is not out of the question that Ibrahimoviccould make a return to Juventus, with the move having been reported aroundEurope throughout the summer. However, Roberto Mancini was known to beinterested in the Swede last year, and it remains to be seen if Pellegrini willcontinue this interest, or focus on other potential moves like Negredo andJovetic.
