Chelsea 'interested in Ezequiel Lavezzi of Paris Saint-Germain'

Chelsea are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to Sky in Italy.

The 30-year-old Argentina international sees his contract at the French champions expire in the summer.

Sky in Italy understand the player's agent, Alejandro Mazzoni, is in London today and could meet representatives from Chelsea, who are one of the options available to him.

They also understand he has offers in Italy, including Inter Milan, who have taken concrete steps to sign him.

Lavezzi began his career as a youth with the renowned Rosario Central in Argentina.

His first professional deal was with Estudiantes before a three-year spell with San Lorenzo, followed by a transfer to Napoli in 2007.

Lavezzi, who has 48 caps for Argentina and was part of their squad that made the World Cup final in 2014, moved to PSG in in 2012 and has made over 100 appearances for the club, scoring 22 Ligue 1 goals.

Today there was a meeting in London between Lavezzi's agent Alejandro Mazzoni as well as Alessandro Moggi with Chelsea, they discussed Lavezzi's potential transfer to the Blues next summer:
the parties will meet again in the coming days but today's summit was positive. Lavezzi is moving closer to the Premier League.

Could Ezequiel Lavezzi be coming back to Serie A?
The Argentine's contract with PSG expires in June, and his agents returned to Milano after meeting with Chelsea in London, Inter hasn't given on signing the former Napoli winger.
The negotiation with the Blues however went well, the English club wants to sign the player on a free transfer for next season, they are just waiting to get the okay from the new manager for next season,
he should be picked in the next few hours. Inter is monitoring Lavezzi's situation as well as Sampdoria's Eder and Soriano, but those deals could take off should Guarin head to China.
Regarding potential sales the nerazzurri have essentially promised Ranocchia to Sampdoria who will likely join Ferrero's club on loan after next week's Coppa Italia match against Juventus.
