AT A busy press conference this afternoon City gave a warm welcome to two new Canaries - and were also delighted to announce a new three-year contract for Club Captain Grant Holt.
Holt, 31, put pen to paper earlier this afternoon on a new deal committing his future to the Club until 2015.
Meanwhile promising young midfielder Jacob Butterfield, 22, has signed a four-year deal with City after his contract with Championship side Barnsley ended on June 30.
And Scottish International defender Steven Whittaker, 28, also met local and national press for the first time since he joined the Club as a free agent, subject to international clearance.

Norwich reject Holt request
Striker seeking Carrow Road exitBy Pete O'Rourke - Follow me: @skysportspeteo. Last Updated: May 18, 2012 5:05pm
Norwich have reportedly rejected Grant Holt's transfer request at Carrow Road.Top scorer Holt handed in the transfer request earlier on Friday, but the request is thought to have been rejected out of hand by Norwich.
The Canaries skipper enjoyed a superb season with Norwich in the Premier League last term, playing a key role in securing their survival.
Holt scored 17 goals and was the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League behind Wayne Rooney.
The 31-year-old was tipped to win a call-up to the England squad for this summer's Euro 2012 finals, but the former Nottingham Forest man was overlooked by Roy Hodgson.
Norwich are loath to lose Holt as they look to build on their fine campaign back in the Premier League and hope to keep their best players at Carrow Road.
