Carlos Tevez's emotional homecoming was complete on Sunday night as Boca Juniors sealed the 31st Argentine Primera Division title in their history, with the captain declaring: 'I came back to feel this again.'
A first-half header from left back Fabian Monzon was enough to earn Boca a slender 1-0 win over Tigre and confirm their first crown since 2011 with a game to spare.
Captain Tevez, who returned to boyhood side Boca in July after over a decade away, was overcome with emotion at the final whistle and said: 'I'm happy. I came back to feel this again. It's difficult to talk.'
The 31-year-old striker was part of the Boca team to win the same trophy in 2003 before moving to Corinthians in Brazil two years later.
Tevez subsequently had a successful spell in English football, helping to save West Ham from relegation in 2007 while also starring for both Manchester United and Manchester City.
He signed for Italian giants Juventus in 2013 and was key to consecutive Serie A wins prior to his sensational homecoming this summer.
Tevez, for all his bullish style of play and terrier-like tenacity on the pitch, has remained a markedly sentimental person throughout his career.
Even at the peak of his powers at City, spearheading a multi-million pound frontline, the Ciudadela-born hitman made no secret of his desire to pull on a Boca shirt once more.
On Sunday night, that affection for his roots was clear. Tevez added that he wanted to pave the way for the next generation of La Bombonera players and said he hoped that this title could lay the foundations for progress.  
'They needed a championship to take the pressure off — now they will be a new Boca,' the two-time Juve player of the season beamed.
He added: 'They deserved this, for lots of reasons, they deserved this.'

In the end, the win over Tigre was slim, but it shouldn't have been. After Monzon scored in the 43rd minute, stealing in at the near post to smartly nod in a Nicolas Lodeiro corner, an inspired attack continued at a canter, with both Tevez and Jonathan Calleri missing chances inside the box. Lodeiro's 20-yard free-kick in the second-half, meanwhile, struck the crossbar.
Boca now have an unassailable 64 points from 29 matches ahead of their curtain-closer against Rosario Central next Sunday. Central had the chance to take the title race to the wire, but they lost 2-1 this weekend at Banfield and fell to third on 56 points.  
San Lorenzo climbed to second on 58 points after a 2-0 home win over Temperley. Fourth-placed Racing are on 56 points after striker Diego Milito scored twice in a 3-0 win over relegated Crucero del Norte on Saturday.

泰維斯領小保加重奪阿甲

【now.com體育】有泰維斯在7月回歸的小保加，周日主場1:0擊敗堤格雷後，宣佈重奪失去4年的阿甲。

小保加賽前已領先次席的羅沙里奧中央5分，只要周日能對堤格雷勝出，便可提早1輪宣佈登上阿甲寶座。結果，他們是役憑左閘蒙遜上半場一記頭槌入球，如願以償在主場全取3分，第31次捧走聯賽錦標，亦是阿甲今年改制成30隊後的首位盟主。

今年7月重返母會的泰維斯（Carlos Tevez），如以往在其他聯賽一樣，抱著囝囝入場享受奪冠一刻。他激動地表示：「我很高興，回到這裡再次感受奪冠，現在的心情很難形容。」

這位已在4個不同國家、5支球隊奪得8座聯賽錦標的阿根廷前鋒，認為小保加經歷今次奪冠後，將可打造球隊新的黃金世代：「他們需要一個冠軍去減輕壓力，現在就是一隊新的小保加，在很多原因下，他們都值得獲取這一切。」
