Chelsea defender Alex is set to complete a ?5 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, L' Equipe claims.

The Brazilian stopper will reportedly fly to Paris on Friday to undergo a routine medical before signing an 18-month deal with the Ligue 1 leaders.

Earlier on Thursday, Alex's agent stated that the two clubs had not yet reached an agreement, but stressed that his client remained keen on a transfer to the Parc des Princes.

The 29-year-old will reunite with former coach Carlo Ancelotti after playing under the Italian trainer for two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Alex has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of opportunities at Chelsea this season, making just nine competitive appearances since Andre Villas-Boas took over from Ancelotti.

Tottenham hold Bruno Uvini talks

Tottenham have opened discussions with Brazilian side Sao Paulo with regards to making a move for Brazil under-20 centre back Bruno Uvini. The centre back is very highly rated in his homeland, and Spurs could make an offer before the end of the transfer window.
Uvini has been with Sao Paulo since 2007, and has just one year left on his contract. According to a report from Brazil, Spurs are readying a 5 million GBP offer for the player. Sandro has recommended Uvini to Tottenham's scouts, and Arsenal representatives have also been in contact with the player.

This year, Uvini has been promoted to the first team and is expected to play an important part of Sao Paulo's side should a deal to London not be completed.

據英格蘭傳媒報導，紐卡素前鋒阿倫史密夫將租借加盟英甲球隊米爾頓凱恩斯，合約期為6個月。

31歲的阿倫史密夫是列斯聯的青訓球員，當時他在球隊出任前鋒和攻擊中場，在172次上陣中攻入38球。2004年，這位前英格蘭國腳以700萬鎊身價加盟曼聯，勇敢的球風令他頗受費格遜賞識。

不過2006年阿倫史密夫在對利物浦的比賽中小腿骨折，開始了自己長期與傷患為伍的噩夢，1年後他加盟紐卡素。不過在「喜鵲」阿倫史密夫依舊傷患不斷，大大影響了自己的上陣機會。

現在阿倫史密夫已經很難獲得上陣機會，他最終決定租借到英甲球隊米爾頓凱恩斯，他身邊的一位好友向記者透露：「阿倫史密夫希望加盟一間有野心的球會，英甲的也無所謂，最重要是這支球隊有能力升班。」

據悉，租借期間紐卡素還將支付阿倫史密夫57500鎊的周薪，米爾頓凱恩斯則只需支付2500鎊。目前這支球隊排名英甲第五，是升班名額的有力爭奪者。

EVERTON LINKED WITH DOYLE SWOOP

Sky Sports sources understand Everton are weighing up a shock move to sign Wolves striker Kevin Doyle before the close of the transfer window.

Doyle is no longer first choice at Molineux due to the impressive form of Steven Fletcher this season and has started only one of the last six Premier League matches.

The Republic of Ireland international has also scored just twice in the League this term and has been linked with a January move away.

He was mooted as a target for Everton last summer, but Wolves boss Mick McCarthy insisted the 28-year-old was not for sale.

The Toffees were also rumoured to be interested in signing Doyle from Reading before the forward joined Wolves in a big-money deal in 2009.

Everton boss David Moyes is keen to bring in a striker before Tuesday's transfer deadline, with his side having scored 22 goals in as many league games this season.
