CHELSEA TO HIJACK PEDRO DEAL

Chelsea are set to make a dramatic bid to hijack Manchester United’s move for Barcelona forward Pedro, according to the Daily Telegraph.

United looked set to finalise Pedro’s move to Old Trafford, with Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claiming the Spaniard had agreed personal terms ahead of his proposed move after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward flew to Spain for talks on Monday.

Chelsea have now entered the race to sign Pedro and hope to convince the Spaniard to move to Stamford Bridge after holding their own talks with Barca.

The Premier League champions ready to pounce on United’s hesitancy to match Pedro’s £21.2million release fee.

The Telegraph claim Chelsea almost signed Pedro in January, but instead went for Juan Cuadrado instead.

Barcelona forward Pedro flew to London this morning to finalise a move to Chelsea, according to reports in Marca.

And it is understood that the Premier League champions have outbid rivals Manchester United for the Spain international, while the Blues have also reached an agreement with the player to move to Stamford Bridge this season.
