Leicester City transfer news: Yohan Benalouane agrees to join City in £5.6m move from Atalanta Atalanta defender Yohan Benalouane has confirmed he has agreed to join Leicester City in a £5.6million move. The 28-year-old has told the Bergamo Post that he is set to join Claudio Ranieri's squad after an emotional departure from the Serie A side. Benalouane said he did not want to leave Atalanta but knew that
an ?8m offer was too big to turn down for the club."I couldn't say anything before everything was over," he told the Bergamo Post. "I left the training camp in tears on Friday, because I really care for everyone. I didn't want to leave Atalanta and would gladly have stayed, but an offer of ?8m is a lot for a club like Atalanta."
The French-Tunisian centre-back made 27 appearances for Atalanta in Serie A last season, scoring one goal, but also picking up 12 yellow cards and one red.
City are also set to sign Caen midfielder N'Golo Kante on another £5.6m deal with Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri confirming he hopes it will be competed "very soon".
