Spurs boss eyeing deadline day moves for Cahill and Parker

Harry Redknapp says he is 'one million per cent' certain sought-after midfielder Luka Modric will not leave Tottenham before the transfer window closes.
Modric has been at the centre of one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer, with Chelsea continuing to pursue the Croatian despite Spurs' assertions that he is not for sale.
Manager Redknapp has ruled out a deadline day move for the 25-year-old, reiterating once again that Modric is staying put.
No chance
"Obviously there's been all the talk about Luka but the chairman has held firm and he's not for sale," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
"So he's not going, which is great. That won't happen, no chance. One million percent - that will not happen."
Redknapp is targeting a deadline day capture of highly-rated Bolton defender Gary Cahill, while he remains optimistic of completing a deal for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker.
"I've always been a big admirer of Gary Cahill so we've got to wait and see really," he said.
"We've got some bits and pieces to do ourselves. So we'll see how the day pans out."
He added of Parker: "I'm sure we'll get Scott sorted out."
Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole is also on Redknapp's radar, but the manager says he must offload some of his existing players before bringing in anyone new.
"I love Joe, I think he's a fantastic player," he said.
"The problem with Joe for me at the moment is that we've got too many players to fit into our squad. We need to make some positions available."
The manager says out-of-favour striker Peter Crouch is a player who is likely to leave White Hart Lane, with Stoke, Sunderland and QPR thought to be interested.
Demand
"We need to shift someone. Peter is obviously the one in demand, three or four clubs want him," he added.
"I think we'll look at that today. He's too good not to play that's for sure, he's an outstanding player."
David Bentley is another player who could ply his trade away from Tottenham this season, with a loan move a possibility.
Redknapp said: "David Bentley needs to move. He's got great ability and he's been unlucky not to be in the side. I think he'll go somewhere and he can do a great job for someone I'm sure."
