Skysports.com understands Birmingham have rejected Stoke's joint bid for Scott Dann and Cameron Jerome.

Stoke have identified highly-rated central defender Dann and striker Jerome as two of their top summer transfer targets this summer.

Birmingham are resigned to losing a number of their top stars, following their relegation from the Premier League.

6ft 5in stopper Dann is attracting major interest from a number of clubs with Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa all thought to be chasing the 24-year-old as well as Stoke.

Bolton have been credited with an interest in Jerome with the Trotters believed to have had one offer snubbed for the former Cardiff hit-man.

Stoke have firmed up their interest in Dann and Jerome by tabling a double bid for the pair as they test Birmingham's resolve to hang onto the duo.

However, it is understood that Birmingham have rejected the undisclosed bid for Dann and Jerome from Stoke with a number of clubs thought to be waiting in the wings to move for both players.

Valencia's Juan Mata ignores transfer speculation after claiming Euro Under-21 crown with Spain

The Spain international has been linked with several clubs in the past few weeks, but wants to focus on Valencia as he targets silverware in the upcoming season

Valencia star Juan Mata remains unfazed over interest from clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool and has voiced his intention to stay at the Mestalla.

The versatile attacker has been in fine form in 2011 and helped Valencia seal third spot in the Liga table before guiding Spain to the European U-21 Championship title in Denmark earlier this month.

"I have some time off now until I join the team again on July 17. I am not thinking about anything else. I have a contract until the summer of 2015," Mata was quoted as saying by Superdeporte.

"I want to win many more trophies and the next title should be one with Valencia next season. We have already made some very good signings with [Adil] Rami, [Dani] Parejo and [Diego] Alves."

Although the 23-year-old Mata has an ongoing contract with Valencia and is keen to stay put, the Mestalla side could decide to cash in on the attacker if the price is right in order to reduce their debts.

Agent reveals Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero interested in Juventus move

The Argentina international's representative has stated that his client would be open to a Serie A switch and confirmed that both sides are in touch about a potential transfer

Bruno Satin, one of the agents of Atletico Madrid attacker Sergio Aguero, has made it clear that there is a serious chance that the Argentina international will join Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Aguero is keen to leave the Vicente Calderon side ahead of the new season and Satin has revealed that the 23-year-old is open to a move to Turin.

"Contact with Juventus has been constant. Aguero wants to move to a big club and Juventus fit this profile," Satin was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

"We are aware of the club's rejuvenation plans but that isn't enough to impede an agreement. The chances of seeing Aguero wear the Juve jersey are concrete."

The highly rated attacker has a contract with Atletico until the summer of 2014 and has a limited fee release clause of ?45 million.

Atletico Madrid & Fulham target Tottenham winger David Bentley - report

The 2009 Europa League finalists are both circling the Spurs man, who has failed to cement a regular place at White Hart Lane and has been told he can leave the club

Fulham and Atletico Madrid are both showing interest in capturing Tottenham winger David Bentley.

The Mirror are reporting that the superfluous midfielder is being chased in the transfer market by the 2009 Europa League winners.

Martin Jol, who was appointed manager at Craven Cottage earlier this month, is believed to be looking for a new wide man and the former Blackburn Rovers winger fits his ideal mould.

A move to Madrid could attract the 26-year-old England international, who has links in Spain after becoming a partner in a Marbella bar two years ago.

The player has been told he is free to leave White Hart Lane by manager Harry Redknapp, along with team-mates Niko Krankjar, Wilson Palacios, Giovani Dos Santos and Robbie Keane.

Alan Hutton will also be allowed to depart, with Aston Villa, Sunderland and West Brom reportedly keen on the Scottish full-back’s signature.

Bentley signed from Ewood Park in 2008 for £15 million but has struggled under Redknapp to cement regular football.

In the January transfer window he was loaned out to Birmingham City with mixed success.

Aston Villa to offer Brad Guzan and cash to sign Ben Foster from Birmingham City - report

Manager Alex McLeish is looking to offer the American goalkeeper, who has made one league appearance in his three years at Villa Park, in order to get the Blues' shot-stopper

Aston Villa are willing to offer Birmingham City Brad Guzan and cash in return for target Ben Foster, as Alex McLeish looks to bolster his squad from their rivals and former employers.

According to The Mirror, the Villa Park boss is hoping the addition of the American goalkeeper to the deal will allow him to sign the 28-year-old from the club’s local rivals.

McLeish was hired at the club after resigning as manager of St Andrews earlier this month and is believed to be extremely keen on the Blues’ first-choice shot-stopper.

He signed the England-capped player from Manchester United last summer when in charge at Birmingham for an estimated £6 (?7) million.

The 52-year-old is also reportedly keen on goalkeeper Matt Gilks, who is a free agent after being released by Blackpool.

Brad Friedel was the club’s regular keeper for the past three years but quit for Tottenham after the 2010-11 season came to an end, and his contract expired.

Guzan joined Villa Park in July 2008 but has only made one appearance in the league since his arrival from MLS side Chivas.

He went out on loan to Hull City on two occasions last season, making 16 appearances at the club.
