Manchester City defender Kolo Toure failed a drugs test after taking a diet pil belonging to his wife, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said in a press conference on Friday.

Wenger has spoken with the former Gunners captain since news broke of his positive test for a specified substance.

"He wants to control his weight a little bit because that's where he has some problems and he took the product of his wife," said Wenger.

高路托尼面臨停賽兩年

【綜合英格蘭外電】被視為英超模範球員之一的曼城後衞高路托尼，疑因誤服太太的減肥藥而藥檢不合格，被暫時罰停賽！這名 29歲的科特迪瓦國腳更可能面臨長達兩年的禁賽令。

曼城於周四晚發表聲明指：「曼城接獲英足總通知，高路托尼的藥檢樣本 A呈陽性反應，故他將不能參與一切足球賽事，直至相關程序完成。」據悉，曼城是於球隊在周三英足盃對維拉賽前得知這消息，因此高路托尼在開賽前被剔出大軍名單。

雖然仍未知道高路托尼是因服用軟性毒品抑或提高表現禁藥以致藥檢不合格，但無論如何，只要他的樣本 B在藥檢中同樣不合格的話，就會被罰全球性停賽，最高長達兩年。據消息人士指，身為虔誠回教徒的高路托尼，平日滴酒不沾，故服用軟性毒品的機會很微，他很可能在沒諮詢曼城隊醫的情況下，服用些含有禁藥成份的食物或藥物。

阿仙奴領隊雲格在周五致電舊將了解後，指高路托尼是因誤服太太的減肥藥而出事。高路托尼 09年夏天過檔曼城。
