Stoke City are on the brink of signing Spanish striker Joselu from German club Hannover 96.It is understood that a package is almost agreed for the 25-year-old forward which will be worth in the region of £7.3m, taking into account both the transfer fee and wages.Sources close to the player in Spain told Sportsmail on Monday night that a deal was 'close' to completion. He is in the country ahead of talks and a medical.
Jose Luis Mato is 25 years old and was signed by Real Madrid as a teenager, where he scored 40 goals in 72 appearances for the club's B team. He made one appearance for the first team, scoring in a 8-1 victory against Almeria.
He signed for Hoffenheim in 2012 where he spent two years before joining Hannover last summer.
Joselu scored eight Bundesliga goals last season and will become the third Spaniard at Stoke, joining Marc Muniesa and Bojan Krkic.
