St Etienne defender Franck Tabanou undergoes Swansea medical Swansea look set to complete the signing of St Etienne defender Franck Tabanou within the next 24 hours. Tabanou, who has represented France at under-21 level, is having a medical on Thursday and is expected to become Swansea's second signing of the summer. It has been reported that Swansea will splash out around £3.5m for the 26-year-old who they first wanted to sign in January. However, he chose to remain at St Etienne who finished fifth in the Ligue 1 table.
Tabanou's agent Philippe Lamboley said: "He has chosen Swansea. He has told me he is not interested in any other offers from any other clubs."
Swansea manager Garry Monk wants to strengthen his squad which finished eighth in the Premier League last season.
Ghana forward Andre Ayew has already joined on a free transfer from Marseille.
Monk is on the look-out for a goalkeeper following the departures of Gerhard Tremmel and David Cornell.
