Papers in Chile seem confident Arturo Vidal will leave Juventus for Bayern Munich.

The midfielder is constantly at the centre of transfer speculation, regardless of what comment he or his club make.

Having been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid, the latest destination is Munich.

According to Chilean paper La Cuarta, Vidal has already told his family that he is moving to Bayern.

It would be a return to the Bundesliga, as the 28-year-old already played for Bayer Leverkusen from 2007 to 2011.

Vidal’s price-tag is believed to be at least ?40m.

Arturo Vidal to join Bayern for £25m in next 24 hours

TV station Sky Italia says the Chile international could move to the Bundesliga champions for an initial fee of £25m and that deal could be completed in the next 24 hours.

Vidal has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months with the South American player linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal and Sevilla this summer after a strong campaign with Juve.

The 28-year-old scored seven goals and set up four more in 28 league appearances to help Juve clinch their fourth straight scudetto this past season.

Vidal also contributed to Juve winning the Coppa Italia and for his team to finish runners-up to Barcelona in the Champions League in the 2014-15 campaign.

Bayern are looking to reinforce their midfield line after selling Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United in a £15m deal last Saturday.

Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says he wants midfielder Arturo Vidal to join Bayern Munich from Juventus.

The Italian Champions League finalists have received an offer from Bayern of £28m (?40m) for the Chile international midfielder, according to The Guardian.

Vidal, who won the Copa America with Chile this summer, would be seen as a welcome addition at the Allianz Arena as coach Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Rummenigge believes Vidal would be a perfect replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger, who signed for Manchester United earlier this week.

With the Bundesliga champions heading to China for an eight-day pre-season tour, Rummenigge told reporters at Munich airport: "I hope that Arturo Vidal will join us in the end.

"I can't announce anything at the moment. If we sign someone, he would be a very good player."

Rummenigge also confirmed that Mario Gotze would not be included in any deal to bring Vidal to Bayern, contrary to reports in the Italian press.

Arturo Vidal: Juventus midfielder writes note to fans

Midfielder Arturo Vidal has said goodbye to Juventus fans as he nears a transfer to Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old Chile midfielder helped Juve win the Italian double last season and reach the Champions League final.
He wrote on Instagram:  "You, supporters, were always the best with me! I will miss all of you a lot, thank you for everything."
Juventus have lost midfielder Andrea Pirlo to New York City and Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors this summer.
And star midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a transfer to Barcelona, the team who beat Juve for the European title, as well as Manchester City.
Bayern tried to sign Vidal four years ago when he left Bayer Leverkusen but he moved to Juve instead.
Vidal has also been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United and Arsenal among the clubs reportedly keen to sign him.

Bastian Schweinsteiger to undergo Manchester United medical

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will undergo a medical on Sunday ahead of his proposed transfer to Manchester United, Sky sources understand.

The Bayern Munich star then only has to agree personal terms to seal a move to Old Trafford.

The clubs have been in negotiations for the last few days and the German giants confirmed at a press conference on Saturday that the two giants of European football had agreed a fee, which Sky sources understand to be around £14.4m.
