報道指出，韋斯咸開季成績差劣，領隊格蘭有可能面臨被解僱。

韋斯咸開季為止，三戰全敗，班主David Gold與David Sullivan相信對前車路士及樸茨茅夫領隊的耐性已接近爆發邊緣。

球會在九月份的賽程亦相當嚴峻，管理層已表明要立刻改善球隊的成績，若仍然維持於榜末位置，將會認真考慮格蘭在韋斯咸的前景。

在今個月的三場賽事，他們將會在今個周末主場迎戰車路士，然後作客史篤城，隨後返回主場面對熱刺。

據報道，Sullivan對於球隊在八月份，主場以1比3落敗於保頓，深感不滿，認為球隊欠缺團隊精神。若成績持續不滯，他有可能會作出果斷的決定，以安撫不安的球迷，及阻止球隊的成績繼續下滑。

在球季開始之前，韋斯咸的期望是相當高，並希望能列席於聯賽榜的中游位置，可惜，差劣的開季成績，明顯跟預期中有很大的差別。

上周，韋斯咸以0比3大敗給曼聯，但格蘭卻沒有因此而再羅致新員。

呢2年既鎚仔幫真係令人好失望, 人腳其實又唔係好差, 不過踢極都咁沉....

今季仲要買左咁多人都冇起色, 格蘭都係.....
