Update on Liverpool and West Ham's pending Double Gameweek - which will occur when their Blank fixture from GW18 (WHU vs LIV) is rescheduled...

West Ham's ticket office are "hoping" that WHU vs LIV will be moved to an EFL Cup Semi-final midweek if Liverpool lose their EFL Cup Quarter-final against Aston Villa.

WHU vs LIV can't be moved to the midweek of the Semi-final 1st legs (Jan 7th or 8th) because both clubs play FA Cup 3rd Rd ties on Jan 5th and West Ham play their GW22 fixture on Jan 10th, and teams need at least two rest days between fixtures. (WHU can't play Sun - Wed - Fri)

So if WHU vs LIV is moved to an EFL Cup SF midweek, it would have to be moved to the midweek of the 2nd legs.

This would be GW24
LIV vs (wol + whu?)
WHU vs (lei + LIV?)



The Double GW fixtures would be in the midweeks before and after the FA Cup 4th Round.

Two away games against Wolves and West Ham wouldn't be the easiest DGW, but you would expect Liverpool to play strong teams in both fixtures as there are plenty of opportunities to rest players in late Jan and early Feb:
FA Cup Round 4 plus replay midweeks and the winter break.

The EFL Cup Quarter-finals are the midweek after next, and Liverpool are very likely to lose their Quarter-final away at Aston Villa.
None of the players who are travelling to the Club World Cup will feature.

I wouldn't mind if Liverpool get their Double GW in Gameweek 24.

I'd Triple Captain either Salah/Mané depending on form/fitness.

I'm already planning on Wildcarding in GW20, so having the DGW shortly after I Wildcard would make it easier to set my team up for it.
