Arsenal have offered £92m (?100m) to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco.

We understand Arsenal are yet to respond to Manchester City’s second bid of £55m for Alexis Sanchez.

The Gunners will not let Sanchez leave this summer without the arrival of a replacement.

Monaco don’t want to sell Lemar but we understand they could be tempted by Arsenal’s massive ?100m offer.

Lemar is due to play for France this evening in a crucial World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands, live on Sky Sports.

Arsenal's hopes of signing Thomas Lemar are stuck in an incredible transfer merry-go-round.

The complex situation is why Arsenal do not believe it can happen in time and therefore is threatening to block Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester City.

Monaco may be willing to sell for £90million but only if they get Angel di Maria from Paris Saint Germain as part of a deal for Kylian Mbappe.

But the mega deal for Mbappe is in doubt as the French FA will not accept the current terms of a loan switch and PSG know doing a huge cash deal now could contravene FFP rules.

Even if they can agree Mbappe, it would take Di Maria to agree to join Monaco before they can then sell Lemar.

PSG are also trying to balance the books but Julian Draxler - another Arsenal target - does not want to leave having only recently joined.

That is the reason why Arsenal do not think the Sanchez deal will happen as they are adamant that they will not sell without a replacement.

Told Monaco will sell for £90m (100 million Euros which certainly not the exchange rate I just got in Malta..). But time remains the issue.

Hearing that Monaco still won't sell Lemar even though Arsenal have made a mega-offer. Could be as high as 100m euros.
