Real Madrid prepare bid for Inter Milan striker Balotelli



Real Madrid chiefs are stepping up plans to prise Mario Balotelli away from Inter Milan.

Spanish sources say Real's football staff have settled on the teenager as their prime January target, ahead of Bayern Munich's Lukas Podolski.

Balotelli, 18, only just signed an improved contract at Inter, but Real hope a bid of £14 million will convince the Italian champs to sell.

魯爾只差七球到巔峰

在周日晚再次為球隊梅開二度後，皇馬的象徵魯爾距離迪•史提芬奴創下的球會聯賽入球記錄只差七球……

A statement on Real Madrid’s official website read : “An MRI on Monday revealed that Diarra is suffering from a parameniscal cyst formation and synovitis, which is expected to keep the Mali international sidelined for 48-72 hours.”

Torres Out For Three Weeks

The Real Madrid full-back faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a slight fracture on his right thigh.

The 20 year old, who has only started one match for Los Merengues this season, was injured in Spain's under-21 match on Tuesday night and faces up to a month on the sidelines.

The versatile youngster is on the periphy of first-team action at the Santiago Bernabeu, but this setback has put a dent on his hopes of displacing Marcelo or Sergio Ramos from their defensive positions.

Spain had been competing in the Under-21 European Championship playoffs against Switzerland when Torres was injured chasing back to help his side. The doctors at Madrid have assessed the problem and in order to heal the injury correctly, the player will be out of contention until at least the home clash versus Recreativo on the 23rd of November.

Torres joins Arjen Robben and Fernando Gago on the treatment table, while Guti and Wesley Sneijder are fighting back to full fitness. Schuster played a part in Holland's victory over Norway in midweek, while Guti should also be in contention to at least take a place on the bench for the match versus Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening.

Guti Ruled Out Of Madrid Derby

Guti has been ruled out of the Madrid derby this weekend after failing to convince doctors that he had recovered from a muscle strain in time to be included in the squad.

The Spanish midfielder faced a race against time to be ready to play for el Real against their city rivals Atlético in the Vicente Calderón on Saturday evening.

Bernd Schuster was hoping that Guti would be available with earlier reports suggesting that he would step back into the team in place of Rubén De la Red.

Instead, the German coach will have to have a rethink about his line-up after being told by Madrid medics that the playmaker's muscle injury is still not completely gone.

While it is believed that he could play, doctors have advised both Guti and Schuster that he risks making the injury worse and the pair agreed it was best if he sat out the game.

Mahamadou Diarrà and Arjen Robben are both also doubtful for the match and will undergo late fitness tests to see if they can be included in the list for the trip across the Spanish capital.

There was some good news this week for Schuster though with Fernando Gago returning to full fitness and he will be part of the coach's plans for the match.
