David Anderson: LFC's financial update - Andy Carroll won't come back and owners still want Rodgers to trim the wage bill
Liverpool's debts have risen £21.8m to £87.2m in the latest figures out today for the period Aug 1, 2011, to May 31, 2012.
The key point about Liverpool's latest figures is they show where the club were in May 2012 before they began restructuring the club.
That's why Andy Carroll will not be coming back, even if he doesn't join West Ham. Rodgers would consider swapping him for Hatem Ben Arfa.
Liverpool's financial position has improved since then with Maxi, Kuyt, Carroll and Joe Cole all leaving to reduce the wage bill.
The new Warrior kit deal worth £25million a year for six years also isn't included. These figures show Liverpool starting to turn the corner
Rodgers will still have money to spend, but the owners will want him to keep trimming the bloated wage bill.
