The 25-year-old striker arrived on Merseyside on Monday after cancelling a holiday in the Caribbean to help the deal go through more quickly. He has agreed personal terms.

Liverpool agreed a fee for Aspas at the end of May, but the move was held up because of an outstanding bonus payment due to him from Celta after he had helped them avoid relegation from the Spanish top flight on the final day of the season.
