WENGER HAS 'POSITIVE' SANCHEZ TALKS

Arsene Wenger believes Alexis Sanchez will remain at Arsenal beyond the summer and is confident the Chile star will sign a new contract.

"Of course (he will stay)," Wenger said as Arsenal began their pre-season tour with a win over Western Sydney Wanderers.

"There is not a lot to resolve with the player. I have spoken through text and it was very positive. My thoughts are always positive."

SANCHEZ: I WANT CL FOOTBALL

Alexis Sanchez has stated his desire to play in the Champions League and says he is waiting for Arsenal to make a decision over his future.

"I've already taken my decision, but now I depend on Arsenal and to see what they want," Sanchez told Canal 13 in Chile.

"My idea is to play in and win the Champions League. It's a dream that I've had since I was small. For now I'm at Arsenal and my contract finishes in another year."

BAYERN END ALEXIS INTEREST

Bayern Munich boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed they have dropped their interest in signing Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez for next season.
