Everton officials have confirmed the Club is in negotiations with Spartak Moscow over the potential sale of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
The Russian international joined the Blues from Spartak’s city rivals Lokomotiv in August 2009 and has made 77 appearances for David Moyes’ side, scoring nine goals.
An Everton spokesman confirmed: "Discussions over the possible sale of Diniyar are ongoing with Spartak Moscow and we would hope to conclude these in the next 48 hours.”
If the Club and Spartak do reach an agreement on a fee for the 26-year-old, any move to the Luzhniki Stadium will be subject to the player agreeing personal terms and the successful conclusion of a medical examination.
Bilyaletdinov’s Goodison Park future has come under increased media speculation in recent weeks with other European Clubs rumoured to be interested in securing his services.
Capped 45 times by his country, and the winner of Everton’s 2009/10 goal of the season for his stunning strike against Manchester United, Bilyaletdinov was on the bench last weekend for the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
