Bayer Leverkusen have signed Wolfsburg's Ghanaian international Hans Sarpei on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old, who will have to leave the Wolves this summer after coach Klaus Augenthaler decided not to renew his expiring contract, was delighted after completing his move.
"That's great news for me," said Sarpei after putting pen-to-paper on a contract which ties him to the BayArena until 2009.
"I am full of joy about the move and I am looking forward to playing international football with Bayer next season."
The versatile midfielder, who can also star in defence, joined Wolfsburg in 2001 and represented the Wolves in 138 Bundesliga games.
