The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that Ryan Anderson has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.
Anderson suffered the injury following a collision with Celtics forward Gerald Wallace during the fourth quarter of the Jan. 3 game at Boston. The 6-foot-10 forward is out indefinitely.
In 22 games this season, Anderson is averaging 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. The sixth-year veteran holds career averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 356 games.
