[official]Ryo joins Bolton Wanderers on loan
Young Japanese winger Ryo has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season.
Ryo, who has made two first-team appearances this season, both in the League Cup, has linked up with Owen Coyle’s side for valuable experience to progress his development. The skilful forward will be following in the footsteps of Jack Wilshere, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Trotters in 2010.
Ryo signed a long-term contract with the Gunners in January 2011, before teaming up with Dutch giants Feyenoord.. The 19-year old was an instant hit in the Eredivisie, scoring three times and contributing five assists during his 12 league games in the Dutch top flight.
Direct and blessed with blistering pace, Ryo impressed during pre-season matches in Asia against a Malaysia XI, Hangzhou Greentown and also at Benfica. The youngster has made eight appearances for Neil Banfield’s Reserves during 2011/12, scoring on his debut against Wigan Athletic in August 2011.
The 19-year-old is also a Japanese youth international, having represented his country at Under-15, 16, 17 and 19 levels.
Under the terms of the loan deal, Ryo will not be eligible to face Arsenal when the two clubs meet in Wednesday night’s Premier League clash at the Reebok Stadium.
Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Ryo the best of luck during his time with Bolton.
