MARTIN KELLY ABSENT AGAINMartin Kelly missed England training again today as he continued his recovery from the virus that ruled him out of their European Championship opener.
Liverpool right-back Kelly remained behind at the team hotel while the other 22 members of the squad were put through their paces at the Hutnik Stadium.
Despite being unwell, Kelly did travel to Donetsk for Monday night's 1-1 Group D draw with France and it remains to be seen whether he would make Thursday's trip to Kiev ahead of Friday's clash with Sweden.
Twenty-two soon became 21 as Ashley Cole departed after the warm-up, continuing his normal routine of not training fully two days after a game due to an ongoing ankle issue.
He was eventually joined by Ashley Young, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joleon Lescott and James Milner, all of whom appeared to be heading for the pool following the 15 minutes of training open to the media.
Unlike Friday's first open session, which took place in bright sunshine, this morning's activity was conducted amid the showers that have been the dominant conditions in Krakow since England arrived.
Yesterday's session saw only the non-playing members of England's squad do any serious work.
Amongst them was Wayne Rooney, who will complete his two-match ban when he sits out the Sweden game, with manager Roy Hodgson expecting his team to still be in the thick of a qualification battle when the forward returns against Ukraine next Tuesday.
Hodgson has also admitted he may have to pay careful attention to Scott Parker and Steven Gerrard as he plots a path through Euro 2012.
Thirty-one-year-old Parker found it tough going against France in Donetsk on Monday and eventually had to be substituted.
Gerrard lasted the entire 90 minutes but, at 32, his stamina cannot be taken for granted either.
It is something Hodgson will have in his mind as he selects a team to face Sweden.
This afternoon will see two England players hold press conferences ahead of tomorrow's flight to Kiev.
