Official: Getafe sign Valencia's Miguel Angel Moya

Madrid-based club add the reserve stopper to their ranks in anticipation for the 2011-12 season

Getafe have completed the signing of Valencia's Miguel Angel Moya for an undisclosed fee after the goalkeeper passed a medical on Tuesday.

The Madrid-based side have confirmed on their official website that the 27-year-old will be unveiled in a press conference at 1200 GMT on Wednesday.

The former Mallorca man endured a frustrating two seasons at the Mestalla, and after suffering from a series of injuries found himself behind Cesar and Vicente Guiata in the pecking order for the No. 1 jersey, making just four La Liga appearances in 2010-11.

Valencia's recent signing of Almeria's Diego Alves sealed Moya's fate, and the former Spanish under-21 custodian will look for a fresh start at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

It is the second piece of business between the clubs in as many days, as midfielder Dani Parejo moved in the opposite direction to agree terms with Valencia on Tuesday afternoon.

The transfer will be the third player to join Getafe this summer, following the additions of Diego Castro and Medhi Lacen, as they look to improve on last season's 16th-placed finish with new boss Luis Garcia at the helm.

The highly rated Belgian midfielder may be on his way to Russia, and is willing to consider offers from Spain and Germany as well, according to his agent

Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour could be on his way to Spartak Moscow, as the player is currently in talks with the Russian outfit, according to his agent.

The 23-year-old Belgian has been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool in the last year, but with no concrete offers arriving, other options are currently being explored.

"The negotiations are being conducted with one of Spartak's top managers whose name is Dmitry [Popov]," agent Paul Stefani told Sovetsky Sports.

"I believe, the deal may be completed successfully, because my client is ready to move to Spartak," he continued.

The former Racing Genk player looks to be on his way out of the Stade Maurice Dufrasne, as even if a deal with the Moscow-based side is not agreed, the player will have other options.

"What if it falls through? Then we will consider alternative options – from Spain and Germany," Stefani concluded.

The Mechelen-born man has represented his country 30 times, scoring one goal.

Cesc Fabregas says Barcelona are the best club in the world, but insists he is happy at Arsenal.

The Spain international came through Barca's famous La Masia youth system before joining the Gunners in 2003, and has since been linked with a return to the Catalan giants.

Speaking at the launch of a fragrance in Spain, Fabregas said: "It's frustrating not to win trophies. Barcelona are a great club, the best in the world, and playing there is a guarantee to win."

Reports this week have suggested that Fabregas' representatives are set to meet with Barcelona to discuss a move this summer, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has maintained that the player will not be leaving the Emirates.

Fabregas insists that he does not want to "harm" the club and says Wenger knows what he wants.

He added: "I won't step forward and say I want to join Barca. After eight years at Arsenal, I won't harm the club. That's not my way of being.

"I'm very happy, I'm an Arsenal player now, and that's it. Wenger knows what I want and he's the boss, he decides."

AC Milan & Genoa agree co-ownership deal for Stephan El Shaarawy - report

Italian reports suggest both clubs have struck another deal following the Alexander Merkel business as El Shaarawy heads towards San Siro

AC Milan have captured Genoa playmaker Stephan El Shaarawy on a ?6 million joint ownership deal.

Sky Sport Italia claims Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, and Genoa president Enrico Preziosi struck the accord on Tuesday.

El Shaarawy recently revealed he dreamed of joining Milan and is now said to be speaking with the Serie A champions to finalise his contract

He was on loan at Padova last term, but will be expected to link up with the San Siro outfit once the deal is complete.

It will be the club's third transfer of the summer following moves for Philippe Mexes, and Taye Taiwo.

Earlier, it was reported that Genoa signed 19-year-old midfielder Alexander Merkel in a similar deal.

Marko Marin turns down offers from Tottenham and Liverpool to stay at Werder Bremen

The 22-year-old is keen to continue evolving at the Weserstadion, and will only leave if the German club decides to sell him

Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin has stated that he will not leave the club this summer, despite reported offers from English clubs Tottenham and Liverpool.

The 22-year-old impressed in an underperforming side last season, and has been a regular in Joachim Low's Germany squad since 2008.

Despite the Weserstadion outfit finishing in 13th place in 2010-11, and speculation linking him with a move to a number of big name clubs, Marin feels he has unfinished business with Thomas Schaaf's side.

"I want to be successful with Werder. This is my ultimate goal," Marin said, according to Bild. "I want to stay at Werder. I feel at home in Bremen," he continued.

"If the club has an offer [and wants to sell], then I face another situation."

The 16 times capped player's sentiments were reiterated by his agent Fali Ramadani, who revealed the player has turned down offers from England.

"Marko has cancelled [offers] from two English two clubs," the agent stated.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is taking on Italian giants Juventus in the chase for Roma’s brilliant Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic.

Kean is willing to match Juve in the chase for the respected but for-sale forward - with the bidding tipped to go above £10million.

Vucinic’s camp claim Roma are ready to move the Serie A star on and Kean is in the bidding as he looks to start dipping into his £20m summer kitty.

The Rovers chief has been tracking Vucinic for months and the sale of Phil Jones to Manchester United has given him the funds to fight with Juve for the striker.

Vucinic has been well-regarded around Europe because of his displays for club and country.

It is thought Vucinic, 27, will go to where the most money is and Rovers could outbid Juve, who only finished seventh in Serie A to miss out on European qualification altogether.

Kean has the cash to improve his attack - and he needs to with Roque Santa Cruz and Mame Biram Diouf returning to Manchester City and Manchester United after their loan spells and Benjani now out of contract.
