According to the Sunday People, Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has gone on strike following Arsenal's failed bid for the midfielder.
Cabaye has not featured in Newcastle's opening two games of the season and Alan Pardew wants a quick resolution to the situation.

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye refused to play in his side's 0-0 draw at home to West Ham on Saturday following a £10m bid from Arsenal.
The France international also missed last Monday's defeat by Manchester City after the Gunners bid.
"It is quite simple - we need to resolve the situation," said Pardew.

"We need to get ourselves in a position where if he stays, great, and if he doesn't stay we need to get someone equally as good."
Cabaye, 27, travelled with the squad for Monday's fixture at Manchester City, but left before the 4-0 defeat after his club had received
what they called a "derisory" offer from the Gunners.
"There should be business from us, business that is right for Newcastle where our fans get in a position where they really want to believe in the team,"
Pardew said. "It's difficult at the moment. We have big clubs filling our players with disharmony.
"If it is a situation where he leaves the football club, we have got to be stronger. That's my aim when the window shuts."
Cabaye has made 73 appearances for Newcastle since joining from Lille in June 2011 and made his top-flight debut against Arsenal in a goalless draw.

Yohan Cabaye's deteriorating relationship with Newcastle United was last night close to breaking point after the France international refused to play for the club
for the second time in five days.

Cabaye missed the Premier League stalemate with West Ham despite being pencilled in to make his first appearance in the wake of a failed £12m bid from Arsenal.
The 27-year-old is keen to push through a move to the Emirates, and is also willing to listen to offers from Paris St-Germain, another club
who are long-term admirers of his talents.

Newcastle are keen for a resolution to the increasingly uneasy stand off, and are fully aware that they are running out of time to bring in a suitable alternative,
with a little over a week until the transfer window closes. They are holding out for a fee of £20m for a player who cost them £4.5m two years ago.

Alan Pardew, the manager, is keen on Tom Ince, the Blackpool midfielder, though he would not be a like-for-like replacement. But Pardew knows he could still have to work with Cabaye until January if a transfer is not completed by the 2 September deadline.

The France midfielder, 27, had been on the wish list of the big-spending Ligue 1 side. But PSG boss Laurent Blanc has decided against making a move for Cabaye.
And with Arsenal refusing to up their offer for the playmaker, Pardew is more confident he can keep his prize asset after the transfer window shuts on September 2.
The Gunners angered the Toon boss hours before their game at Manchester City on Monday night by slapping in a £10million bid for the former Lille playmaker.
Pardew blasted Arsenal’s timing as Toon crashed to a 4-0 defeat.

Arsenal are expected to table a new bid for Yohan Cabaye after the midfielder opted out of Newcastle United’s clash with West Ham yesterday.
London sources today suggested that Arsenal will go back to Newcastle with an increased offer closer to £13million for the French international.
Cabaye sat out of the goalless draw with the Hammers at St James’ Park with many fans left deeply disappointed by his absence.
Arsenal had a bid of around £11million rejected last week but Newcastle value Cabaye way above that.
The ex-Lille man’s transfer market valuation is around £15million.
But given Cabaye is under contract for another three years the Magpies can demand whatever fee they please.
Cabaye has been offered a path back into the first team by Alan Pardew, but the midfielder is thought to want Champions League football.
The player has been training with his personal fitness coach in the last few days to stay fresh in the event of a move.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew says the club comes before any players as the future of midfielder Yohan Cabaye remains unresolved.

Pardew declined to confirm whether or not the France international, who was the subject of a rejected transfer bid from Arsenal, refused to play in the first two games of the season
against Manchester City and West Ham.However, he revealed that no second offer had been received, and that the midfielder would not be involved in Wednesday night's
Capital One Cup second round tie at Morecambe as his future is thrashed out.

Pardew said: "The answer isn't as simple as a 'yes' or a 'no'. The answer is he is either going to be sold and we are going to have to replace him in the window that we have left,
or he's going to stay."But I, as the manager, have to protect him and protect the football club, more importantly. The first thing on my agenda is the football club, trust me,
and that will always come first while I am the manager here."

The Gunners are reported to have offered around £10million for Cabaye with Newcastle looking for double that, and Pardew is adamant Arsene Wenger
will not get the former Lille man on the cheap.
