The Premier League have postponed this weekend's round of fixtures following the Queen's death on Thursday.

At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. 

To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game.

Richard Masters, Premier League Chief Executive, said: “We and our clubs would like to pay tribute to Her Majesty’s long and unwavering service to our country.  

"As our longest-serving monarch, she has been an inspiration and leaves behind an incredible legacy following a life of dedication.  

"This is a tremendously sad time for not just the nation, but also for the millions of people around the world who admired her, and we join together with all those in mourning her passing.”

This is aligned with the approach that The FA and EFL will take with their competitions this weekend.

Further updates regarding Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course.

We don't know yet whether Gameweek 7 will be an empty Gameweek (no games but the deadline doesn't change and we can use free transfers) or if FPL will be paused and the next round of fixtures will become Gameweek 7.

🔘 Gameweek 7 will roll over with no points scored

🔘 Triple Captain, Bench Boost & Free Hit Chips activated for GW7 will be reinstated. Wildcards will roll into the next Gameweek

🔘For managers who took a points hit for additional transfers, their scores will reflect the points they lost

🔘 In H2H league matches, if neither manager made transfers incurring points deductions that GW, then the matches will be drawn & managers will earn one point each

Postponed fixtures will be allocated to another date. Points scored in these fixtures will apply to the Gameweek in which the fixtures are played and not to GW7

These are exceptional circumstances, and we appreciate the understanding of #FPL managers while the situation evolves

Confirmation that Gameweek 7 is an empty Gameweek, similar to what happened when the 19/20 season was paused due to the pandemic.

If you have 1 FT, save it.

If you have 2 FTs, use 1 but wait and see if we get any news on the Gameweek 8 fixtures before you make a transfer.

If the Gameweek 8 fixtures are also cancelled then people who activate their Wildcard in GW 7/8/9 would get a total of 31 free transfers over the course of the season, and people who don't Wildcard in GW 7/8/9 would get a total of 33 free transfers over the course of the season.
