Skysports.com understands that Newcastle have circulated the name of Wayne Routledge to a number of other clubs.

Routledge: QPR are still interested

The wide-man spent the second half of last season on loan at QPR and played an important part in helping Neil Warnock's side to the Championship title.

Routledge impressed in the second division, having struggled in the Premier League, and Warnock said at the end of the campaign that he hoped to keep the 26-year-old.

But no deal has been agreed and Newcastle remain keen to offload the player they signed from QPR in January 2010.

QPR are understood to still be interested, but Routledge has also been mentioned to a number of other Premier League and Championship clubs, including Nottingham Forest.

Alan Pardew is setting about remodelling his squad at St James' Park and has already signed Sylvain Marveaux, Yohan Cabaye and Demba Ba.

Official: Napoli sign Marco Donadel from Fiorentina on four-year deal

The Champions League hopefuls have bolstered their midfield with the former Italy under-21 international

Serie A outfit Napoli have completed the transfer of experienced midfielder Marco Donadel from fellow Italian side Fiorentina on a free transfer, wit the 28-year-old signing a four-year deal.

Napoli were in the market for a new midfielder because of the departure of Michele Pazienza to Juventus earlier this month, and have now found their man.

Donadel is a product of the AC Milan youth academy, but never managed to secure regular first team action at San Siro, and wore the jerseys of Lecce, Parma and Sampdoria before joining Fiorentina in 2005.

He has since made over 150 official appearances for the Artemio Franchi side, but will now continue his career in Naples.

"I am very happy that I will be wearing the Napoli jersey next year and that I have the chance to play in a beautiful and historical stadium like San Paolo. I can't wait to start this new adventure and get to know the other players," Donadel said on the official Napoli website.

MLS side Toronto FC want to offer Owen Hargreaves a chance to resurrect his career.
The former England midfielder is a free agent after being released by Manchester United following two years blighted by injury to his knees and tendinitis.

Genoa's Domenico Criscito agrees personal terms with Zenit St Petersburg - report

The Italy international appears to be ready to leave his native country as he has reached an agreement with the Russian champions

Defender Domenico Criscito appears to be on his way out of Genoa, as the left-back has agreed personal terms with Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The 24-year-old defender initially appeared close to a switch to fellow Serie A side Napoli, but club president Aurelio De Laurentiis gave up on signing the Italy international on Thursday.

Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti admitted shortly after De Laurentiis' comments that the Russians were interested in luring Criscito to Russia, and they have not wasted any time in reaching an agreement with the defender.

Criscito has reportedly signed a four-year deal worth ?2.5 million per season, and although both clubs have yet to agree terms, Zenit are ready to match Genoa's ?15m asking price, and the deal could be completed by the end of this month.

Criscito had also attracted the interest of Paris Saint-Germain and Inter, but it appears as if he will continue his career in the Russian Premier League instead.

Chelsea close in on £26.5m Falcao: Porto striker accepts £5m-a-year deal in principle



Chelsea are closing in on a £26.5million deal for Porto striker Radamel Falcao after he accepted a £5million a year contract in principle.


The prolific Colombian forward, who scored 39 goals for Porto last season, is expected to follow manager Andre Villas-Boas to Stamford Bridge and officially sign on July 1.


The 25-year-old is expected to rekindle a Chelsea attack that has struggled to have any impact since the £50m signing of Fernando Torres from Liverpool in January and his arrival will pose questions over the futures of Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba with Tottenham showing interest.


Falcao, who scored 17 goals in the Europa League alone last season, said: 'I am leaving things up to my agent. I am very calm about the situation but I know there has been some movement.


'My ambition is to keep working hard and I am convinced I can play in a superior league like England. If Chelsea is interested in me then all that needs to happen is for negotiations to take place.'
