Man City hire Benítez as manager

Manchester City have today unveiled Rafa Benítez as the person to replace Mark Hughes at The City Of Manchester Stadium.

Benítez brings a wealth of footballing experience with him and his arrival at the club will hopefully signal some promising times ahead for the Man City fans.

Dzagoev dropped to Russia Under 21s again

Alan Dzagoev has been told to prove himself with Russia Under 21s after being dropped by Russia manager Guus Hiddink from his squad to face Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dzagoev has not played for Russia since being dropped by Hiddink in June 2010 but the F.C. Barcelona attacking midfielder is still young enough to force his way back into the national side.

Dzagoev, 20, arrived at Camp Nou from CSKA Moscow for a fee of £16.5M in 2009.
